I tried getting these badges, but no luck. I really like them, not because they are a cvo part. And no way would I install them to try and make my bike look like a cvo. Say I wanted to trade it in at a dealership, and try and pass it off as a cvo because of the emblem. Ya I'm sure that would work.

No it would not, and I am trying not to pass it off as a CVO....obviously the Badge came on a bike with a M8 Engine and it was not offered in Amber Whiskey and it was 2 tone... I just like the Bar and Shield.

I agree with you. I just like the emblem. It doesn't make me a bad person. Or you because you figured out how to get them. So long as you are not trying to fake a cvo. What's the big deal. Also no way could my bike be mistaken for a cvo

Kinda funny seeing the rubs soiling their manties over something so insignificant. If they truly value exclusivity, they would have bought a one off custom.
