Not to mention that the price went from $41,399 at the top of the page, to $44,399 at the bottom of the page, with nothing in between to justify a $3,000 upcharge.

$3,000 "additional ripoff", plus $1,299 for dealer prep, aka "additional ripoff", since the MoCo reimburses the dealership for what they pay their techs for the pre-delivery setup.
$4,299 ripoff.

They can get away with that if there are no other dealers for 200 miles, and the customer doesn't have internet access. Otherwise, it's just gonna **** off prospective buyers. If a retailer will screw you on one item, they'll screw you on every item.
