Question about ECM

yes. There is a counter to log the number of times tuned. Dealer can see the name of the currently installed tune. If it doesn't match a HD tune, then they will know you have an after market tune. Most Delphi ECM have this function since manufacturers decided that if you mess with their tune, you got to dance if something messes up

The dealer and moco can see how many times it's been tuned. But can it see how its been tuned or with what?
I mean cant I tune mine as many times as I want with the SE tuner?
For example, I tune my bike 5 times with the SE tuner.
Then I buy a PV tuner and tune it once with that. They only see the 6 tunes, but not that the last tune was a non compliant tuner.
Or is that wrong?

I thought the ECM has to be married to the bike by the dealer but I could be wrong. If so that would raise some suspicion I would imagine but in theory it would work.
