Default No more pain- 14" KST Outlaws

Bought the bike on July 4 and have put on 3500 pain filled miles with the stock bars. I had the dealer throw in a set of 14" Wild 1 Reapers at the time of sale but they were back ordered with no delivery date in sight. I ran the Reapers on my trade ('15 FLHTK) and loved them but could wait no longer. I finally had the dealer issue a refund and ordered these KST Outlaws from Dennis Kirk...had them two days later.

What an awesome set of bars...very high quality, flawless powder coat and $150 cheaper than the Wild 1's. I also would have had to order a 1" riser clamp for the Wild 1's as they neck down to 1" at the clamp area. The KST's are 1.25" everywhere which allowed me to use the stock clamp.

I wired and mounted them yesterday and did 400 miles today....no pain! They contact the sides of the stock screen at full lock but I normally run a short dark tint HD Wind Splitter...only had the stocker on to prevent the wife from being blown off the back!

Anyway, here they are...

Those are great bars and reasonably priced. I put the 12inchers on my 17 RKS and love them as well. Perfect height for me and as you say, quality coating. I especially like the look of the outlaws. Every body runs the other style bars with the "points", these look clean to me.

They are really nice bars. I put the 10 inch outlaws on mine. I also like the square look

I agree...when the Yaffe MBB's came out I thought they were pretty cool. Now I see them or a different companies version of them everywhere I turn. I also like a wider bar and the Outlaws come in at 37". I feel like I have much more command over the bike now, slow speed maneuvers excepted. Not sure how KST hits the price point they do, but it's certainly not because they're skimping on quality.

Those look great. I had the 12" version, but unfortunately there was not enough pullback in them for me to be completely comfortable. Ended up with Wild1 14"s.

I agree with OP on no more pain. The neck and shoulder pain I was getting with the stockers is gone! Really love the look and handling of these 14" KST Outlaws. I'm 6'3" with a long reach and hands are shoulder level. I run the bars slightly forward also.

RGRBOY- what a sweet looking King! I run my bars a little bit forward as well, although I'm only 5'11. Very comfortable seating position though...I did 400 miles on Sunday and only stopped once to take a leak. Could have easily done another 300 miles, something that was out of the question with the stock bars.

Love the look of apes and would like to try some....is there a difference in turning? Is it difficult to get used to?

I find parking lot maneuvers to be a little more challenging but at speed I feel like I have much more command over the bike. At some point, height will start to work against you so you need to find which size works best for you. What bike do you have? How tall?
