compression test on m8
Had dealer do a compression test and a leak down test on a 2017 m8. Compression was 125 in each cyl and leak down 5%. Is this good?

Cranking pressure should be well over 200 psi. Something is not right with those numbers.

Why did you request a compression test? Actually surprised you could request that without cause.

On a stock 107 per manual.
ACR connected - 110 psi min
ACR disconnected - 175 psi min
Leak Down Test,,, 25% or better further diagnoses.

I'm pretty sure someone on this forum said they were running over 200. I think it was someone like Steve Cole, Jamie Long, or someone else that seemed legit. Also, I would jump the starter to do the test. No spark, fuel, or ACR.
I could be wrong.

How did you hold the throttle blade open while doing the test?

Take note djs asked here what the forum thinks of these results. Wonder why tech didn't offer their opnion? That is what's perplexing here
