There IS a speed limiter. It cuts out at 110 regardless of being in 5th or 6th gear. Since there are different gear ratios, the RPMs are different, yet it cuts out at the same speed. Therefore, there is a speed limiter.
Do you premix the Harley Formula and Redline with shockproof or just let the engine, transmission and primary do it for you?
I let the 3 work it all out........ I was told, in the old days the guys would ride with a quart of oil with the shovel heads. Might have to do it with the M8's too. I have yet to notice the tranny fluid migrating into the primary, I only have 1000 miles and havent ridden much since the 1000 mile. I will be checking all the time now. Im not to worried though, it is what it is.....
They arent speed limited, they are rev limited. Stock is 5500 I believe, most aftermarket tuners can take it to 6200
Not completely correct. They are mph goverend and the stock rpm limiter is around 5400rpm. With the Harely EPA tuner, your rpm limit is raised to around 6200. Other tuners can offer different speed and rpm parameters.
