I would wait. There could be some worthy changes inthe '18 lineup that warrant the wait, and if not, you'll get a smokin' deal on the '17's.

My plan was to wait for the 18s, I made the mistake of going to a dealer who offered me a deal I could not refuse.

Learn from me, don't go to a dealership till the 18s are announced in late August.

BTW, I'm loving my M8. screw the rumored new frame and possible upgrades to the infotainment system

Likely colors will be the only difference.

You know it would be nice if the 18's had some drop dead colors and bluetooth, that just about sums up my expectations.

I'd say , don't be surprised at anything. If I was head of Harley , I'd be looking at how Indian's touring line has us beat in Many category's. ... Bigger Engine, More Torque, Bigger Speakers & Double the Amps, Telescoping Windshield, Bigger Touchscreen , then the 18 Yamaha coming out just Before the Harley, have you seen the Yamaha's Vid. ? Wow . I'd be telling my engineers, improve everything you can , Now. Harley Needs to Look Like they are at Least Trying to compete. I've Test Drove a 2017 SGS and a LIMITED & Im impressed, but ... I think there's a touring bike War ahead, maybe like the Muscle Car war between Camaro, Mustang, Challenger, etc....... but I might be wrong ☝

This is no time for HD to be resting on their laurels... They need to drive the market with innovative products and services.... The customers, stockholders and dealers demand more than just an expanded rollout of the new M8 engine in 2018.... I have late model Beta and Aprilia in the stable and ready for my future HD if they deliver!

Used late model market will continue to implode which is not necessarily a bad thing for HD. The younger generation need a cost effective ticket in which will ultimately drive new model sales.

Rode a new Indian Vintage the other day. I was NOT impressed to say the least. Felt doggy to me compared to my M8. The turn signals felt weird as well. Lots of other issues I wasn't a fan of. The button starting system was odd as well. I'll stay with the MoCo thank you.

Harley changes the paint colors every year? They never do the same color twice, except black? I must say, I like my color. I wish the Ultra Limited had laguna orange as a color option. Total impulse buy on my bike, I let the wife pick out the color. The sales lady said, we can get you that other color, have to wait. I wanted to sign before my wife changed her mind.......... I wouldve went with matte black and gray.
