I have the same bike and the very first thing I did was custom dynamics LED signal/brake lights front and rear and a LED headlight. Next thing was grips. Slip ons was also a must for me . Just did a 21 inch front and 18 inch rear and love the way it rides and handles now, stock tires are awful in my opinion. It's really up to you to make the bike "yours". I say do whatever is gonna make you happy and make you love riding your bike. Decide if warranty is a must, if not, there are a lot of things you can do that screamin eagle parts won't do . In the end it's your bike and your call, whatever you decide , don't hold back (if financially able) and enjoy it! Congrats on the new ride

Thanks a lot for your thoughtful response. I don't have tons of cash & I actually like the comfort of the bike (maybe cause it's the only one I've ever owned besides a Honda 250). So I was thinking more on the lines of performance & sound upgrades, although you bring up a good point with safety (lights). Thanks Again.

LED's at least on the rear will be a good investment, my custom dynamics ringz make a huge difference in visibility and I would put them as one of the best bang for the buck upgrades I've done so far. If you are more interested in performance just keep in the back of you mind that this is not a performance intended motorcycle therefore some things you do may not yield the results you hope for. Once again, you need to decide if the warranty is a absolute must for you before you start diving into performance mods. Screamin eagle stuff will keep you in warranty but that brand is now handcuffed to EPA standards and is very limited in gains. I would recommend starting out with a set of slip ons that you like and then go from there. Go out to different bike shops and try to listen to other peoples exhaust, just make sure its is an M8 because the 103 sounds different even with the exact same slip on. Westendmotorsports have a video section of all the major exhaust players for the M8. Videos can be deceiving but at least it will give you an idea where to start. Good luck!

I just called custom dynamics because of all the different numbers and told them what I wanted and they hooked it up. I went with the dynamic ringz, on the front, it has a outer ring that stays lit in very bright white and when you signal it goes out and the middle cluster lights up amber. I put a smoked lens on the front. On the rear I went with the dynamic cluster ringz, very bright red outer ring stays lit and when you brake or signal the whole cluster lights up. The rear LED's are already red but I chose to put a red lens back on because I wanted the red light to be as intense as possible on the rear, it is eye piercing at night! Very simple to install, plug and play. You may see the signal indicator flash fast after the install, all you have to do is turn on the ignition without starting the bike and turn on the hazard flashers for about 20 seconds and it will correct itself, no load stabilizer required.
