Anyone runnig FP-3

easy fix on the FP3... edit the current map, or new one prior to flashing.. there's a section for idle rpm. Change it to 950, then flash to bike.. idle will be perfect!
also, if during stops or stop and go traffic you notice rough idling, check the EITMS.. it's a feature that shuts off the rear cylinder to keep engine cool. Can be disabled if needed. Mine is, but I also have the fan assisted oil cooler.

I would reload the tune for Your bike and see if that corrects the random problem.Maybe something got "corrupted"Just set the rpm to 950.Do nothing else till You see if it runs right. If still there,go back to stock tune and see if it happens.

could be the EITMS. Mine felt weird during stop and go traffic. I understand why it does it but I didn't like it so I disabled it.. Installed a fan assisted oil cooler instead. Been on numerous hot weather trips with plenty of traffic (Laconia) with no problem. Bike is much smoother now. Something to think about.

OK an update. I finally got around to putting in my K&N and doing the stage one download from the SE tuner. That hunting around at idle seems to have disappeared.
Mine used to do the same thing you were describing. No EITMS enabled RPM's would sometimes rev up to 1200 or so while sitting a light then drop down to normal. It did it quite regularly for 3000 miles until I did the update. There is something in that tune that fixes this issue.
