Default Dyni

The difference is easily accounted for by drivetrain losses. Bet HD dyne chart is at the crank vs rear wheel

Default Cvo with stage 3 or 4 kits

I have a 17 CVO Street Glide and bought the stage 3 kit only because the stage 4 was not out at the time. Before the bike was completed with stage 3 I noticed they had a stage 4. To make mine a stage 4 I bought the bigger throttle body, injectors, and had my stock heads ported and polished. Mine made 138 hp on dyno and for the first time I'm happy with the performance! Had a 110 motor before and could only get 105 hp with extensive work done to it.
I did have a 103 that made 117 hp like 3 bikes ago.

My question is has anyone had trouble with loss of power at high rpm?
There is a new special bulletin from Harley M1450 that is suppose to fix the problem. They say the oil pump needs to be upgraded.
Is this the case on all M8 motors with a stage 3 or 4 kit?
Any info would be helpful.
Thanks, Gary

Default Tune

The street tuner is crap your engine will be running lean. I went with a different tuner and unleashed the beast i'm so happy with it now more power and just runs way better power is smooth as silk.
Such a great engine package with EPA choke hold on it. Next a guy could Pull the CATS this engine is still choking no flow. I went V and H header assuming it would have no Cats ? i guess i am done assuming anything. There in there no better than a stock header.
I guess this is the new world of pollution control.
On a side note there will be no more 103'' next year it's a dirty polution machine should be some good deals on the smaller bikes in the fall. Cheers!!!

The M8 pulls timing when it's hot under load it's part of the design I believe they say it's for heat management but I doubt that. Cheers!!!

I had the stage 4 done 2 weeks ago along with SE heavy breather, V&H power duals, and V&H slip ons, makes 117 HP and 114 TQ under 5% dyno load. When I first rode it I didn't if I was impressed or not, but after 750 miles if came to life. You have to learn where the bike likes to run, which is 3-5k rpms. It's a fun bike but completely different beast than by buddies CVO with TQ cams.

Complete SE kits seem like such a waste, that tuner for sure.
Aftermarket for these bikes or just leave it stock.
Thousands of dollars for a kit netting 5-7 tq/hp is nuts

Ha!!!

screw HD crap. Buy the bike go full aftermarket. If you're worried about it breaking under warranty then shouldn't have got an HD.
