New M8 stage IV

You didn't say exactly what you didn't like other than its under performing according to their advertising. And I'm not sure of your riding style, but... IMO torque is what you want in a touring bike. The earlier it comes on in the rpm band, the better. I did the stage 3 and went with the SE447 cam. Mine pulls good from 2,500-4,500 and puts out 118tq/100hp. You might like the performance of that cam better. Maybe check with your dealer about a swap.

I got a new 2017 Road Glide a couple weeks ago, and purchased it with the stage IV upgrade, street tuner, screaming eagle exhaust and intake. Initially the dyno run had it at 112 HP, 100 lb-ft torque. They assured me they'd get more power out of it at the 1000 mile tune-up. Had that done today, and we got 114.38 HP and 103.22 lb-ft of torque. Nice, but nowhere near the 120+ HP, 112 lb-ft of torque, dyno sheet HD shows on their own product page for the stage IV kit. My dealer tells me it's because you can only do so much with the street tuner, but I feel like if HD is advertising it that way, we ought to be able to achieve at least that. Am I complaining about nothing, or is there some way I can contact HD corporate and get a resolution to this?

M8 stg iv
I did a stage 4 on my 2017 roadglide wet head similar results 116HP 104TQ
My opinion is this is barely scratching the potential of this upgrade it is a dog at low RPM but get it revved up like passing on the highway its a rush.
Once my warranty is up im adding an after market tune TTS or similar this will give at least another 10% so 127 HP and 114 TQ if this doesn't smarten up the low end the CAM is next its is already known that the SE 515 cam basically sucks, I will put in a mid range aftermarket CAM.
I might not wait to long on the tune my dealer is very forgiving if I get a DYNO I will post it they have the TTS in stock same tune as the PRO race tuners that are banned due to EPA

Note that Harley's chart for the Stage 4 is with the $1200 hi-flow exhaust. If you still have the stock header and tuning with street tuner, it will be hard to reach this performance. Also note the Harley rpms go to 6500. Not gonna happen with a Street tuner map. It'll be limited to 5800. Bike will also be limited to 107mph so it will be impossible to achieve this chart since the engine will cut out at 107mph which means you'll never be able to run out 5 or 6th gear on a dyno before redline.
