Default 2017 SGS Exhaust

Good afternoon everyone!! Looking for suggestions on an exhaust for my 2017 SGS.

The stock pipes are like driving an electric car... can barely hear them. So what pipes are going to give me good sound and performance? Appreciate any info provided. Also, should I look at complete exhaust system, or just slip ons??

Thanks, I did see where new breather and tuner is required with exhaust upgrade.

Rode with my buddy who just got a 2017 Roadglide with Screaming Eagle mufflers. Very quiet, not sure there was any appreciable sound increase. Do your research well if you want sound, you are not getting much from the Screaming Eagles....

I have a 2017 Road Glide special stock. Yes it was too quiet for me, coming from a 2015 Road Glide with 2 into 1 headers and rinehart 4" pipe. I loved the sound i had. Looked at a few different sound videos on slip ons and decided on the Cobra Neighbor Haters from Amazon for about $330. So far i love the sound just installed them and i did a video to show. First time video.

If you want to maintain the warranty this is kinda your only option with the SE tuner. They don't have a mufflers only config although you can smart tune it. For the breather K&N makes an M8 filter for stock box for about $60 rather than a whole stage one kit from HD. My bike was pinging with just the V&H cans and no K&N. With both of them and the SE tuner configuration for stage one that stopped so they are sensitive to just a muffler change.

As for sound I couldn't take it stock either. It already rides like a metric I didn't need it to sound like one I have V&H 4" eliminators. The 4's are a little louder than the 4 1/2" pipes but I will tell you this. Almost every muffler I have heard on an M8 sounds similar an they are not loud at idle. The SE cannons I did not care for at all. TAB makes a zombie baffle for their offering that sounds more aggressive. Guy I ride with has the S&S mufflers and they sound good as well. RC's and the V&H 4.5's sound similar (deep) but don't seem to project as much as the 4" mufflers do. Rinehart 4.5 sound similar to the others and only a hint of the older twincam sound they are known for. Then there is the fuel moto options. I have only heard them on the forum posts but they sound pretty good as well.

had these SE SuperTrapps on my 2015 Road King and absolutely loved the sound..friend's wife has a 2016 Freewheeler and put them on as well and loves them..they fit the 2017 trikes as well and do not require an ECM recalibration..sorry OP, they won't work on the M8 bikes tho

I thought slip on's only didn't require a tune or void the warranty?

The twin cams didn't seem to mind just adding mufflers. I was kind of shocked they caused the M8 to ping but I am not the only one that has reported this. Might point to the new knock sensors. The warranty issue of not doing the tuner is all over the place depending on who you talk to. I just played by the rules for now. I won't leave the header, tuner or cam stock after it's expired.
