Default Detachable Luggage Rack

I have noticed the detachable luggage racks aren't so.... Detachable.
I asked at the dealer and they said it was really hit and miss with them. Is that others' experiences as well?

Not sure what's so hard about flipping 2 cam locks up. If it's too tight to turn, it's not adj right. dealer is uninformed

I shot a little WD40 on the Camlocks which made them work much easier.

The docking hardware can be a little tight at times. Leave the spools loose, put the rack on and then snug things down and you should be good to go.

Mine is tough as hell. it's new so still breaking back rest and Luggage rack in. the couple times they've come on and off i've used a rubber mallet.
I'll try some silicone spray next time they come off.

Did you adjust them or just put the backrest and rack on?

Yes. Loosen the torx head screw and turn the plastic sleeve. The center hole is off center so it is a cam. Tighter or looser as needed. You will not be wearing it in, as much as wearing it out if you need a mallet to remove.
