I just checked mine myself tonight on my Road King all looked clamped nice and everything seemed tight. Seeing as I'm in Canada I'm not sure if the Canadian bikes are included I've got no notice from HD and no call from my dealer but when I typed my Vin into the US Harley sight it was on the recall.

Default My Bike Was on the Recall List Too...

so I took it to the dealer as others have done. Took a chance that they could check it w/o scheduling first. They could. Waited about 1/2 hour. Got the "work order billing" statement that COMPLETE PER BULLETIN M1447, RECRIMPED LINES AS NEEDED. So I'm good to go, also.

Now I just have to return next week for some warranty work. Oil is seeping out from under the rear upper rocker cover. They intend to replace the gasket. Or maybe two if they think that the leak is actually from the lower rocker cover.

It's nice to have a warranty.

The service manager treated me like royalty. I had to look over my shoulder to be sure he wasn't talking to a guy behind me. I guess they really want me back for the 1,000 mile $ervice.

I had my 1000 mile service done last week and they put at least one new clamp on. They just tightened the rest for good measure. I heard about the recall on here last week before I took it in so I asked about it. I didn't get my recall notice until today in the mail. Thanks guys! :-)

Just got my recall notice, I looked at the clamps, they look good but I'll take it in anyway. Now I'm waiting for the recall notice for "Having to add trans fluid"...

I just bought mine brand new. According to the HD recall site, it says mine is an Open recall, so I contacted the dealer. Haven't heard back yet. It seems odd that if this was sitting on the showroom floor that it would not have been done before selling. Besides they were supposed to have given it a safety check while I was waiting.

That's (oil cooled only) what the service department told me too.

So should I expect one in the mail, a phone call? I just bought the RKS 2 weeks ago...
