Other than color selections? Contemplating a new one in September. 18's will be out and perhaps a small savings might be had on a remaining '17. Sound logical?

Betting any frame change will not include the Touring line. Some rumors of a single shock
Swing arm design for the others.
Any time you buy a left over you have to weight the value of the discount.

I dunno smitty... they're talking about a common core frame which leads me to believe the center box is going to be standardized. If that really is the case then it'd make sense to standardize the dyna and touring models first. Depending on how they adapt the core the softail line could be at the same time or after a year.

Way out in left field here but..... I wouldn't be surprised to see a major upgrade to the Boombox, maybe full Bluetooth capability. They need something to appeal to the touring folks now that the M8 shine has worn off.... some reason to upgrade from a '17 to an '18.

I will bet there will be a new boom stereo, the one now is very outdated, i'm sure it will include better screen and bluetooth integration....

I dunno, the last radio ran for years and they never really fixed any issues with it.

HD ain't exactly known for their quick changing and evolving technology.

You may be right about the Boombox. But, IMHO the percentage of riders that uograde by one model year is low.

Certainly not for a radio. So much of that MFD/Nav stuff is moving to phones that the appeal of the head unit isn't what it used to be IMO. Don't get me wrong, it is nice as cell phone coverage isn't all that reliable off the beaten path. But not a killer upgrade. I'd say the M8 shook a lot of the early touring upgraders out of the trees and will siphon some more of the "wait for the bugs to be chased out" crowd over the next couple of years. My guess would be that they leaving the touring line as is for a few years and work on getting the M8 into other frames. Heck, '16s are still clogging up the pipeline. No reason to give people more excuses to pass on them.
