BMW, their 1600LT is fully loaded with gas at 760lbs... A R1200RT is a little over 600lbs. While the 1600LT never appealed to me, inline fours and sixes aren't engines I favor the RT twin was always a sweet engine. My only beef with BMW is centered around seat heights and the more forward lean required when riding the RT. The new M8s are the first adequate HDs I have ridden let alone owned (the 103 SG was a joke)

And will out accelerate, out brake, out corner, out run, and higher top speed than any Harley Touring bike.
I have looked very seriously at them, and have ridden them. In spite of all the things it does better than the Harley, Looks, comfort an soul go to the Harley. So instead of a BMW I got a new Harley again.
