Amen to that, I have had 3 HD boom boxes, none of them ever worked right, neither does my 2017, it will not shut off

The only change that would have me considering moving to a 18 or newer bike is if HD can get the weight under control. A loaded tourer really should not exceed eight hundred pounds and should be closer to seven hundred. My RK should be under seven hundred. I certainly don't see any value in its current weight

I'll be the voice of dissent here. I like the look of the non-extended bags better. I've read multiple rumors of a shared frame also.

The problem is they need to get rid of Harmon and use Pioneer or Alpine......

Does any company offer a full dress (fairing, saddlebags and trunk) touring bike that weighs less than 800 lbs? Can't beat having the weight when on the highway in heavy crosswinds.

I had one before. It was stupid fast. Uninspiring in the looks dept though and oddly enough it wasn't that comfortable to me. My Harley feels lighter due to lower center of gravity and the luggage on the BMW was tiny. Only thing I miss about the K1600 was being able to Bluetooth direct to the HU. When you park the BMW you never turn around to get another look. Every time I park my HD I turn around and take another look. Hell sometimes I sit in my garage with a cold one and just stare. That is something no other manufacture is capable of reproducing.
