I would discuss with your dealer about possible opening the primary cover and see if it is moving over to the primary. Or if the primary is low as well. If so, it may be the main crank seal and the motor is pulling it over. That was my experience.

Yes and to add to the confusion.. used to check it with the dip stick resting on top of the threads not screwed down to the O-Ring.

It cracks me up that HD uses a dip stick that's all but impossible to read clearly, and uses the method you pointed out. Can they make it any MORE vague? I must have checked mine ten times to make sure I was seeing it right.

on my old bike I'm running Redline ShockProof Heavy. It's easy to read bucause it's red. But on this bike I'm Running Syn3. I have it in both holes because of the transfer problem.

If it is, its very minimal. Toss in that the trans is actually over filled and I don't think there's anything going on. I guess proof will be if I check it down the road and the primary is any higher than in the photos. If I bother to check it at all that is.

I transferred 2 ounces in 4,000 miles with my regular riding style.. This was from the 1K to the 5K service.

Only 5 speeds and earlier. You are correct.

Just got back from the dealer. I told him what was going on and the pictures I had from my trip. He's telling me there's no way that could happen. Well, I'm bring the bike in Monday. I asked him what their going to do. He said they'll have to call a tech and go by there recommendations. I'll let ya know what happens.

I think the process will go quick for you, sounds like your transfer is faster than mine. HD told my dealer to empty all my fluids and refill precisely. Then have me run 1K without touching the fluids and return. I was told I could keep an eye on the engine and trans, but not to fill. If the engine or trans was low before 1K, call the dealer and they would come get me. Don't fill. Pretty simple.

Unfortunately for me I have another issue going on so my testing stopped at 600 miles.
