Most likely the tranny seal in the primary. Bitch to change but not expensive if you do it yourself.

I decided to check out other brands as i wanted a new(to me) bike for this season.
I got a good one so far no problems. I check it and no oil consumption or transfer. But my 16 had some transfer and took it in and they say they have a fix for the TC.I sold it before I had a chance to check it.So it's a luck of the draw if you get one or not.

I've found if I over fill my tranny by 3 or 4 oz. it does not transfer. I've been keeping a eye on it since the winterize maint. While I've only put about 500 miles on it since the maint. and I purposely over filled it about 3/32" above the full mark the level has not changed. The bike has been ridden hard when I get a chance to ride it. Rode it to work today. 90 miles round trip. 50 miles 80 mph plus, 20 miles 100 mph plus. Rest of it in town grunting the hell out of it. Let it set for for almost 3 hours when I got home and the fluid level is where it was at before I left this morning.

??????????????

There is no transmission seal in the primary.

There is a transmission seal and there is a primary seal... But there is no potential for oil transfer from one to the other. If either of these seals leak the loss would be external between the primary case and the transmission, not internally from one to the other.

Can you really drive 20 miles at "100 mph plus" in Oklahoma?

O yeah. I was rolling at 80+ between Okmulgee and Glenpool and getting passed. 100+ was on the Creek Turnpike between Hwy 75 and Hwy 169. Wasn't a cop or trooper to be seen today. There will end up being a bad death wreck in a week or so. Then the cops will swarm my route for a week or two, then disappear.

I for one have not seen the part or the part number. And I will buy it if they sell it to the public. But word on the street is it only fixs 50 to 60% of the trannys out there.

Yes, it would have been nice to see the new part or at least the instruction sheet. I have the seal installed in my bike and I am just about finished with preparations for doing the cam testing next week. It will also be a good test of the seal. Max did an excellent job of machining the nut, got the runout below .001”.
