If there's an official fix I missed it.

You are probably referring to one of the faithful posters here who machined a nut that fits on the end of the clutch push rod tube leading from the transmission to the primary. He seems to be certain that at the very least it will slow down the fluid progression. It looks like it might work but he has not reported back since he put it all back together. Probably a cold weather holdup. It is not a complicated fix so I wondered why has the MOCO not thought of it yet? Maybe they have and were not sold on the fix. Who knows for sure because the MOCO does not share Jack Squat with their customer base. I did read yesterday where the Federales are forcing the MOCO to have another recall to fix the ABS brakes system on bikes going back 6-8 years. This one has to do with the fact owners are not changing out their brake fluid every 24 months like the manual says. This recall will further add to their continuing financial woes.

I have not installed the seal and nut on my bike yet. I hope to do it next weekend. It should fix the transfer problem, if it just slows it down the seal is leaking.

One thing I am interested in is the kit that the MOCO is coming out with that was mentioned by pappshelby in post 2689. I am not going to delay installing the seal because of it, but I am curious what it is. So far everything the MOCO has tried has not worked in every application. Maybe this one will.

Sumping issues and trans oil leaking into the primary. Two problems I keep reading about with the M8 engine(s). I am not a mechanic but one must ask HOW is HD getting away with this? I mean this is 2018. GM held info about that switch that ended up killing 123 people. To replace the switch it would have cost $.57. Nobody has posted any injury due to this leaking oil which is probably why HD is NOT addressing this problem head on. I was about to order a 2018 HD Fat Boy end of this month. Now I have second thoughts.

They probably copied what you fabricated and are working on patenting it now.

One can only hope, I think it is the only positive sure cure for the transfer problem. I want those affected to have their problem solved. After all, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. They can claim it as theirs, but the forum will always know the truth.

I was told to bring it in every 500 miles for checking. How you going to find a dealership every 500 miles and who's to say how long your going to have to wait at each dealership? Pretty much ruins the entire idea of getting out and enjoying the ride.
