When I change my oil the bike is upright. I fill to the full mark upright. Then when I remove the bike from the lift table I'll recheck the trans oil level on the sidestand. I have found that it takes 1 1/2 ounces to return the level to the full mark.
Essentially what this means is when checking your trans oil level upright the level should show slightly over full (approx. 1/16 - 3/32" on the dipstick).

I concur...... That is exactly what I found also. And I have run a lot of quarts of Formula+ through my tranny on it's way to my primary before it gets dumped into a measuring cup for deposit into the recycled oil barrel.

If they have a fix I hope they start doing it soon. I am just about ready to proceed with my side cover with the seal in it. I had a nut machined down yesterday for the sealing surface. I will do a mock install on a transmission that I have in the shop to make sure everything fits right. I’m almost certain this will fix the problem.

I'm sure mine has started to migrate a bit, but only after I decided to run it hard for a while. Between 4500 and 5000 for a few minutes. I hadn't done that before.
I talked to the dealer and let them know that I wanted it documented, so we will take care of that come spring or earlier.
I just want to make sure that I'm covered.
The mentioned fix does involve a seal, but I am no mechanic--so am not qualified to say any more.

They are going to put the fix in the '19s and the 17's & 18's they will let limp along until they are out of warranty. Then they will release the fix to those that have paid for the extended warranty or have you purchase an extended warranty or pay for the fix. No Really.. I'm just being a smart A$$... I haven't check this thread in a while and was hoping to see some good news. I'm ready to upgrade but refuse to until I know for fact this is taken care of. My luck always is... (If there is a problem, I'll get the bike with the problem)! Never fails. Here's to hoping they really do have a fix!
