Just got back from a 2,500 mile trip around the Big Bend area. I just had the spacer seal gizmo done before I left. I kept my eye on the tranny level. The fluid was still on the stick. I checked the level when I got home and the level was in the middle of the X. So it slowed it down some for me. Can't ride much now sense the rear wheel bearing are toast. Taking it in tomorrow for new bearings and tires.

This thread doesn't need to keep going, Harley needs to fix their issues for those having problems. So far, I have been fortunate, but I have been riding ALOT LESS, due to working out of town. The aftermarket will probably find a fix before harley will and that is a shame.
No it should not end.it should be spread even more until they get off there tight Ars's and fix these problems.i messed up putting good after market stuff on mine thousands of dollars before i new i had a transfer problem and voided my warranty. If mine had been still stock i would have took to the dealer and parked it until it was fixed.I saved for years and bought this bike they would have fixed it or i would have got a lawyer.

The editor at RoadRunner Magazine said my letter about this would be in next month's issue and she would contact Harley too. I wrote the editor at Motorcycle Consumer News yesterday because their latest issue had the review of the Ultra Classic with no mention of the transfer when I emailed them about it weeks ago. He actually replied that is was too late for them to look at that because that was done months ago but he assured me my letter would be in next months issue. Now just waiting on the magazine.

For me too, they put me a "proto" piece next week. 2 HD France technicians come to my dealer for that. I do not know this piece, I could not have information. Do you know what this top secret part was for you?

What I am considering is where you want to drill holes, remove that whole area. Where you have it colored red, make some reliefs at the bottom for oil drainage. If you end up doing what you plan let us know how it works.

I think you may have misunderstood my post. I want this situation to be corrected. I am fully invested with two M8’s sitting in my garage. I am working out of town and don’t get the opportunity to ride as much as I like. My RKS transferred zero at 1000 mile service. My Road Glide only has 500 miles on it and I have no clue if either bike will start to transfer until I get some miles on them. I will not get rid of my bikes. Harley needs to fix them regardless of age. I may be lucky but I won’t know until I get some miles on them. I feel for the guys having problems and don’t want to see anyone have issues with their bikes. I wish Harley built the M8 right the first time and didn’t use the consumer as a test mule. So I wish this thread would end due to Harley fixing their issues. Not that I think it shouldn’t be discussed. This thread will live on until Harley handles it.

[/ QUOTE]

2 HD Technicians France will make me try a solution next week. They said a prototype part, I do not know what it is yet. My dealer is very professional and they told me right away that the problem was known. In spite of everything, I do not want to do the tester, if the test is negative, I would ask the exchange of the bike. I'll let you know as soon as I get info.

I have to wait for this test before changing the crankcase. I let HD work on it first.
