Until now, yes. But it's cold and rainy in Germany and so they did just some 100 miles with it...
Another positive thing about that is that the clutch lever response click is gone with it.
It's a dealer solution over here and I wish my dealer would offer it too.

My local dealer shop shared that they have tried a remedy to a local M8 engine (stage III) that was suffering with significant trans/primary fluid transfer and no solution from HD.

The shop explained it this way. They made a simple "reversible" change to the clutch rod. Essentially they followed a similar approach used by several foreign motorcycle brands that use an "O" ring to seal the clutch rod in the channel. They tried several different size "O" rings to find one that fit tightly around the clutch rod AND with a thickness that fit tightly in the channel but not so tight that it effected the feel of the clutch pull.

Once they had the O-ring in place on the rod they placed HD shrink wrap around the rod on both sides of the O-ring. This ensured the O-ring would remain in position while sealing the channel from fluid transfer. Preliminary testing was successful but only time will prove it for sure. The customer has had the bike back for a week. They need more miles to be sure it works but they are confident it will resolve the transfer of fluid from trans to primary.

This was a dealer-only solution. HD Corporate was not involved in this remedy.

Boy does it sound Mickey Mouse.. Wonder how long it lasts before stuff starts comping apart.

I wonder if the dealer altering emissions will void the warranty

Kudo's to the dealer in post 2198. At least someone is trying something. If the "fix" works even for a short term, knowledge has been gained as to how to solve the problem. Then a long lasting part could be designed for a permanent fix.

It is the clutch push rod from the ‘14 CVO. It is three pieces and the end pieces are a larger diameter that fits the mainshaft snuggly. It costs about $30. It would be worth a try considering what the MOCO has done for you so far has been fruitless.

Sealing the pushrod to the mainshaft has been done for years when changing to a belt drive with open primary, this is not a new idea as I have posted about it months ago. If you do it you MUST now vent the primary or your going to have leaks down the road. The proper way is to cut a small o-ring groove in the pushrod, this locates the o-ring so it does not move and no need to mickey mouse it with heat shrink tubing.
