Well we did buy some cheap *** shirts.

Every time I go into a different dealer I ask if they are aware of the transfer problem. Have not had an affirmative answer yet. At least the SW and SM yesterday didn’t tell me it was physically impossible for it to happen.

Well starting off like this...

I'm a Harley guy and everyone I know understands that. I'm on Facebook and very well known for my happy Harley stories and pics. Now I feel the time has come for me to go public with this on Facebook.
Kinda sounds like everyone should know you...

My 2018 FLFB Fat Boy will be here this week but no riding until May. By then this will all be fixed.
I know 4 guys that are very serious about buying new Harleys before this spring here in Michigan. They have no clue of this problem, if I don't tell them and one of them has the problem I would feel I let my bud down because I didn't tell him. I just cant do that to close friends. I will just give the facts as I see them and tell them about the TBS and they can make up there own minds. One wants a 18 Softail I know they have a cable. I cant seem to get any info on here if they will do it. I don't think they will because of the cable clutch, but I feel I still have to warn him just in case. My self I have decided not to buy a 18 King and wait till the 19 are out, if still no real fix, I will have over 50,000 miles on my 14 King by then. So I will have the standard FM 107 kit installed. Maybe chrome front forks and a new paint job.
I think I have a good bottom end on my King because it runs so smooth at any rpm except at idle. I do love the 17 and 18 don't shake so much at idle, but I can live with the idle shake.

Well Max, you’re not looking at his handle. GPHDXLC. XLC would point to a Sportster. If he’s been over on the Sportster forum I wouldn’t have any knowledge of him. Maybe he is so famous over there he figures he can jump over to the M8 forum and we should know him. After all, he was thinking about buying an M8!

Well last time I spoke to HD UK they told me HD were working on a fix. That was two weeks ago. Now I read on the forum that HD is saying this is normal for the M8. This could be interesting as I have also spoken to consumer rights about this issue. In the UK we have a similar thing as the lemon law. Consumer rights advised me that due to the risk of an accident from the trans due to oil migration the matter had to be referred to trading standards...... I was put on hold whilst the call handler spoke to trading standards and raised a file. The long and short of this is that unless this issue is fixed Trsding standards will stop sale of any M8 engined motorcycle in the UK. The knock on of this is that it will filter to the rest of Europe who are lawfully bound to do the same. This could be interesting.

Yes it dose don't it . I would be happy to give you my name by PM then I think you can look up my public Facebook page. You will see I'm a Harley lover and I have a lot of Harley friends. My friends are impotent to me, I need to be sure they know about the TBS before they buy one. I don't think the 18 Softails will do it because of the cable. I have been trying to confirm that on here, so far no clear cut answers. I test drove a 18 114" Heritage and I loved it. But I'm a chrome guy, so all that black didn't do much for me, but over time I could fix it and make it my own.

When you do post over at Facebook, post a link over here so we can all visit your public page and see your review.
