Yeah, so far so good. But I'm skeptical as hell. Then there's the other twist to this whole repair on my bike. Was it actually the seal / spacer or was it the new crankcase? After all, both of them were changed out. For MoCo's sake, I hope it was just the seal / spacer. With the PROPER removal tool it's a lot cheaper to do that then replace crank cases.
So now they have basically rebuilt your whole engine and replaced your transmission. I really hope it works for you. Sucks that you were without your bike for the better part of the summer. I don't know exactly where you live in Cali, but I hope it is in a temperate part where you can ride most of the winter. You've got some lost time to make up for.
Yeah, I get to ride all year long unless it's raining or snowing here at the house. 95 mile round trip commute daily. Plus I was lucky enough to have the 03 King in the stable so I really didn't lose out on much riding the last two months.
I just happened to see that HD does have a bulletin out about the transfer of trans oil into the primary. Unfortunately I cannot access the bulletin to see exactly what it says. I though I would mention it for those that have the problem and are dealing with service departments that "never heard of this before"
Where are the details on TA0022? It's not a hyperlink in the post, and (as with many things to do with this issue) the only place google leads to with a search, is this thread. Doesn't anyone else care about this issue?

I wonder where that TA0022 reference came from? It's not a hyperlink in the post, and (as with so many, many things to do with this issue) the only place google leads to with a search, is this thread.
No fix.... they design an engine, test for 1million miles.......and can’t identify where the problem is coming from? Lol, situation normal.....pass me a drink!
