I pushed mine into 4500 and 5000 RPM for auto tuning for sustained 5 second count like the screaming eagle software literature required. Multiple times to simulate multiple load/MAP values. This is where I experienced about 4-5 ounces of transfer. The point is it shouldn't be happening, period.
and yes, some of us riders do run them hard on the interstate when guys want to roll.

It's not a Hayabusa, I know, but I'm gonna get the needle pegged to see what she's got.

Harley needs to have done their homework, bottom line.

I ride most of the time in the 2200-3000 rpm range and sometimes when I get a hair up my *** I like to rip through the gears and hit the rev limiter now and then. You can ride these bikes long and hard and not hurt anything except maybe your old bones.

I agree the oil migration should not be happening and I'm keeping a close eye out on mine. Still not sure if my oil is transferring..

The service manager I talked to said he's had several come back with "warped" or deformed rocker boxes that are leaking

Here's my latest update. MOCO is sending a shaft seal and spacer to install. (Main shaft)? Will then re-run the die test. Dealer will pick up the bike and might have it back same day, 4 hrs. Labor to pull the transmission.
Stay tuned!

The shaft seal and spacer that they are replacing on mine is on the crank shaft behind the compensator. They can do all the work from the primary side so they don't have to dive into the actual crankcase. They had to buy a "special tool" just for my bike to be able to pull the seal from that side. My bike has been at the shop since 8/2 when they picked it up and started the official HD Checklist. The seal is a stock item but the spacer is the magical part that doesn't seen to be in stock anywhere. Not exactly sure when that may show up but I hope it's soon........ Has anyone had their seal/spacer replacement job completed? How did it go?

Michaelpost, are you sure they're pulling and replacing your tranny? And in only 4 hours?

I saw on one of these sites Steve Cole had the seal and spacer done on his 2 bikes he said it didn't help don't think they still know what is wrong.

Yeah, I knew Steve had done one, I'm just wondering if anyone has had one completed by HD yet. A few of the guys mentioned that their seal was on backorder, like mine.
