You had the tranny to primary migration issue and your dealer fixed it by replacing a seal? By any chance do you know which seal was replaced?

AFAIK they didn't change the gerotor. only the pump body (first change fer sure) .. If that that's the case. How do you get more volume?

This thread is has become an open checkbook..turning into an all inclusive never ending story as issues continue to be piggyy backed on..even seen Wheel Bearing failure and quarterly merchandise sales charts on here recently, with an overall axe to grind over Harley in general..good grief it's become a wildfire growing out of control

Just returned from a 5300 mile trip from Florida to Nova Scotia....now with 6400 miles on the M8 Electra Classic I have had to add a total of 3/4 quart of oil and the tranny had a need of only 2 1/2 ounces of Formula+. Overall I don't consider that an extreme usage. haven't checked the primary to see if there might have been migration from the tranny but will be changing all 3 holes soon and will report back.....

Mj, this thread isn't going to solve any problems. Let me say it a different way, you are no further ahead now then you were before this thread. Your bike migrated oil, maybe it still does now maybe it doesn't. HD has put out NO fixes for it. There are many others experiencing the same issue. Does that mean your one step closer to getting your issue covered under warranty when and if it returns. Hell no. It just means you know more are experiencing it.

There, you have a full summary of this thread. Ya people, myself are posting other issues on here as well. Does that hurt or change how your problem is going to get fixed? Again, hell no. Wake up son.

my point is imo it's better to keep some separation of issues to concentrate the updates on progress being made than going all over the place and convoluting things further..I'm wide awake Pops

No idea but that is what they were shooting for - to address the sumping.
Maybe you could ask them.
