Default Road Glide Special 2017 PRICE

i've been going dealer to dealer here in New England looking to buy cash, no trade the above bike. don't want to haggle, barter, etc.

just want the number they want for the bike with the BS dealer prep, BS destination charge. TOTAL. no sales tax, no registration fee.

ALL dealers around here start by quoting the MSRP and say they can't go lower $24500 and then add on the prep & delivery charge. around $25850.

seems too much. don't think the bike is worth it.

are people paying THIS price for a RG Special around the country ??

did YOU pay this much for this bike ????

Around here dealers don't drop more than $500 on current year bikes and that's if they are a funny color. The only time i have seen a discount is when the bike is a left over.

Have you checked Cycle Trader? Dealers list new bikes there also.

i do check cycletrader...........frequently

i check daily for USED 2017 RG Specials........

seems a GREAT site for used bikes.

dealers there often list "request quote" as price. those that list a price add the dealer prep, destination charge when referring to the listed price.

so much bull and haggling. wish they listed a price like going to the store for a gallon of milk.

The mark up on that bike from dealer cost to MSRP I would estimate about $4500 or more. There is room. I would not buy for MSRP, it will kill you at sell/trade time. To actually get the dealers lowest price will be best done by making an offer "I will buy today for___" be prepared to do so if he agrees. Also after the 27th is the better time.

WOw, you must have some disposable income, don't want to haggle or barter,, I got over 3,000 off my last two brand new Harleys,, I bought a 2011 F350 Super Duty, in September of 2010,, Purchased in Dallas, TX, lived in St. Louis, Mo. The whole deal was made on about 10 phone calls, 61,800.00 sticker, drove it home, (with my Street Glide in the bed) for 47,000 out the door,,,, making the deal is part of the satisfaction of the purchase man,,,, if you are willing to just pay MSRP, it doesn't matter what dealer you buy at.

My 2017 is a RGU so there is a price difference between it and the RGS but it should give you an idea and you can do the math. There is a difference of $2300 on MSRP between a RGU and RGS. Mine is Black/Silver which adds another $1100

I paid $26,500 OTD all cash no trade for the Black/Silver RGU. That included all fees, freight $435), prep ($595), doc fee, title fee, $50 MS trauma fund, and 7% MS sales tax ($1,729). If I look at the invoice and just take the bike selling price and add freight and prep like you mentioned above the price was $24,421.54. I did the deal on the phone over the course of 2 calls with a bit of haggling and then 2 days later I drove the 200 miles to give them a check and ride it home
This was done in late Feb and you really cant consider Feb a winter price in MS as we easily ride year round.

If they are saying they cant go lower than $24,500 they are still sticking you at MSRP or more unless its a custom or hard candy color. 2017 RGS shows MSRP of $23,999 on black and $24,499 on color

$23000 OTD (taxes/fees all included) cash for a 2017 Vivid Black SGS. It helps to go at the end of the month too
