Road Glide Special 2017 PRICE
#11
I paid $ 25K even to the penny, Cash Deal out the door for my 2017 RGS in Velocity Sunglo last month, all tags, taxes, title included (those were around $ 1,000 to the State of VA). Included the HD docking kit that automatically put on all their touring series. Square deal, I was happy with it. Quantico Harley, Dumfries, VA
BTW, my buddy Tony is in Providence RI and knows the owner of Ocean State Harley, he send me this on it when I was shopping the bike, that's not too far from you to make that drive, this for a metallic paint unit. Adjust for Mass. taxes, etc.

Okay, D, I spoke to Amy Bishop, the owner at Ocean State Harley. She talked to Steve Tomczak, the sales manager, and Steve gave me these numbers:
FLTRXS in superior blue, $23,934, add to that $10 title fee, $28.75 registration fee, and Virginia tax of 4.15%, or $993.26.
Russ, Amy’s dad and the founder of the business, said they generally quote prices over the phone if it’s a clean sale, no trade involved. Some bikes are harder to quote than others, he said, but they try to work with customers, they’re not concerned that it might be another dealer in the area calling up & fishing for info.
If you want to communicate with Steve, his email is stevetoshd@aol.com.

Here in SW Florida we ride all year, and pay for that luxury sometimes in MSRP. (prices) I did well, but I traded my 15 SGS for a new 17 RGS in Velocity Red. Dealer actually gave me more on my end trade wise but I paid MSRP of $24599 for my RGS. that was retail. Dealer fee was another $695 & prep, but my out the door price all, said & done with Tax, fees etc, (equity in trade) was $24,000 to the penny. Actually lowered my payment $40 per mon. & didn't give the dealer a dime out of pocket. If I wanted custom candy kote color, add another 3k more to the price. Road glides have now become Harley's biggest seller over the street glides that ruled for 8 past years. Not taking anything away from the SGS as I thoroughly enjoyed my 15 SGS, I just wanted the Road Glide & liked that stable fairing. & other things about the bike. Basically from behind the fairings back the models are the same. But Road glides are more in demand presently & some dealers are taking advantage of that fact. Every dealer has some 'wiggle' room & if they truly want your business they should work with you to get the bike you want. Since you are in the Northeast, riding season is getting in full swing & dealers know this so some may try to take advantage of that fact. Don't be afraid to walk out & go elsewhere, even out of state to get the best deal possible. You need to be persistent & stick to your overall budget & get the deal that works best for you. Dealers have a ton of 16's on hand & yet they can't unload them. The 18 models will be out in August, so it might pay to wait a bit longer if cash flow is the deciding factor. Good luck!!!

When I bought my 15 RGS (traded in a 12) they started at $12 and mine.. I'm like you're on drugs, not mme... Within a half hour they were at $9,500.. I said no, the out the door number is $8000. They stood their ground. I wrote a check payable to them for $8000, put it in my wallet. Every time I walked into the dealer and a salesman approached I pulled it. They came down to $8500.. Finally 2 months later the owner approached me and took the check... That's how I do it every time.

i've been going dealer to dealer here in New England looking to buy cash, no trade the above bike. don't want to haggle, barter, etc.
just want the number they want for the bike with the BS dealer prep, BS destination charge. TOTAL. no sales tax, no registration fee.
ALL dealers around here start by quoting the MSRP and say they can't go lower $24500 and then add on the prep & delivery charge. around $25850.
seems too much. don't think the bike is worth it.
are people paying THIS price for a RG Special around the country ??
did YOU pay this much for this bike ????
