Who here bought a new bike and was surprised as I was to see Harley discoed the tool kit?

 

I noticed that too. Not a big deal to me since I have a Cruz kit that includes more and much better quality tools plus zip ties and electrical tape.

 

Me. I just assumed you would get something. My triumph had a small kit. Love the term discoed too.

 

I called today and said my peace to the customer service rep. I am sure that won't do anything but it pissed me off. They are just cutting corners to save pennies it's cheap of them. I agree there are better kits out there but the point is you should atleast have something in the bike for the rider wth. They dropped the ball on this! Spend 30000 on a bike and no tool kit cheap just cheap smh in disgrace

 

Ya I was surprised no tool kit for my 16 FXDL. All the metric bikes I've had have always had cheapo kits that were pretty useful.

I guess they just want you to get a HOG tow to a dealer to get it fixed.

 

A few years ago they did the same thing with the fobs. My 03 Electra classic had it my 10 ultra 3hundred some odd upgrade. I didn't say much about that except I wanted that option lol. This though is just cheap in my opinion. I should go check out my trike and swipe my tool kit lol

 

Decontenting at it's best. I remember around the mid 90's, the Ultra Classic used to come with 2 H-D headsets. A short while later, and to this day, the Ultra Limited comes with only 1 headset. They also deleted the CB radio and rear fender tip light from the UL for 2017. Next year, I'm sure they will delete the tour pak and saddlebag luggage bags along with the 1 headset. And still raise the price at least a few hundred.

My 2017 had one. Think dealer put it in there. As I had heard the were dropped.

 

Did not get one with my '09?? Didn't know I was supposed to ask. Think its too late...lol

 

My 2017 Ultra did not come with one, told dealer it was not there at delivery and they tossed me one.
