I test drove one, I didn't like the clutch,,, I have cable,,, and the shifting was loud. Otherwise I liked it. I like the motor don't shake so much and has more power for a showroom bike. My problem Is I love chrome. If they made a Special-C , like chrome wheels and so on, I would buy one in a heart beat. I'm happy for all the guys that love them as they are.

Maybe a 2014 CVO Road King would suit you better. You can find a really low mileage one for around $21k. Has everything you are looking for plus the 110" motor. This is the direction I was going before the Road King Special came out.

I felt exactly the same way when I first test rode an M8 RK. Hated the clutch.
Took an extended test ride on a SGS recently and at first didn't like the clutch. Also didn't like the quiet pipes (Street Cannons).
But I got used to the clutch and exhausts are all personal choice anyway.
I will buy an M8 bike in the coming months as the wide power band of the engine is excellent (not that the Twin Cams weren't) - just have to decide on RKS or SGS.
I'm putting CVO style bags on my scooter, and I'm concerned that CVO style bags are a bit close to my 4.5" S&S MK45 slip ons. I don't want to have a melt down. Please post up rear views if you are running 4.5" exhaust on your RKS.

Headed for a meltdown?
Aren't the Screaming Eagle muff's 4.5" too? I would think you should be fine.
