IDK what it is, but from what I heard when listening to my bike, there's got to be more wrong than just a head gasket.
In the future, if you ever suspect sumping, just check the oil level. If it is sumping your dipstick reading will be low - the oil will be in the crankcase rather than the oil pan.

You do need to know where the oil level was at the start of the ride for this quick check to be effective/accurate.

- LA Chopper Twin Peaks 10" (not going to anything higher)
- Arlen Ness polyurethane riser bushings
- Still have to figure out what I want to do with mirrors (do not want mirrors above the bars)
Just had twin peaks 10s put on mine. Also had the poly bushings put in.
Love em. It does put me a little more upright and forward in the saddle as the bars have much less sweep, I adjusted my backrest forward quite a bit.

Had Axeo front end put on as well...jury is out.
I've only got 300ish miles on them...but not liking them so far.
I'll wait for warm weather and a few hundred more miles. Riders here said give them 1K miles to break in.
With our poor roads, that's really only 3 to 5 hundred miles...lol
They're harsh and buck back. I slowed down the rebound in the rear a few clicks and it seemed to help a bit.
I have Ohlins with rezzies out back.
Preload is at one turn per their spec. I may have to go to 0 turns.
Good luck to ya..

Thanks, I increased the shock height to give me more compression travel and slowed the rebound recently and that gives me better overall ride. I may have gone too high with the shock because I have felt it top out. Slowing the rebound really helped with the bucking feeling.

I’m concerned with putting anything up front because everything out there seems to be stiff. I want something plush that doesn’t clunk around and dive like the stock setup.

I was contemplating bars for a while, and I went to my local dealer to look at bikes with different bars. A couple new models on the floor had various 10”, 12”, and 14” bars on street glides. Then best comfort and aesthetics combo were the 10” Twin Peaks. Just below the top of the fairing and my arms are just slightly angled down. Didn’t notice much in the way of seat position.

Thanks for the update B.
Question, did the dealer let you take the bike home on 2/28 or did you have to wait until payment was received from FE on 3/3?

Yep, I hear a lot about the negative sides of buying DiscountESP, but I have not experienced one negative at all. FWIW, you never deal with DiscountESP, you only deal with First Extended Service Corp (or whoever's policy DiscountESP is selling now).

This claim brings the total amount paid by by the ESP to $2900. I paid $1350 for the ESP.

Here in a couple thousand miles I'll hit 25,000. I think I'm going to switch oils. I've had my eye on @Motul for a while now, and I like that it's an ester synthetic. I'll run their 20W-50 in all three holes.
