I like the prices of LRS! I'd like to see some pictures from everyone's bikes with their different shields and heights. Post them here, and I'll head over to the windshield forum and check those out too.

Gas Mileage
Your fuel mileage is in your right hand...If I ride hard, I usually get 37mpg and if I just cruise, I get about 46.

Understood. As I stated, the revs are under 3k rpm 99.999% of the time and it probably takes me 15 seconds to accelerate to 60, and I only get 35 mpg all highway miles. I've got one stop sign at the end of my road, I turn on to the highway and then I've got the cruise set to 70 all the way to my work, which is 20 miles.

Was the bad fuel economy before or after adding all those various air deflectors?
Also fuel economy will improve after it is broken in.

Fuel economy before and after the deflectors is the same. I have about 1400 miles on the bike - when is it broken in?

It's starting to be the rainy season here in NE Texas and that means I need some rain gear. Any suggestions? Any tips for riding in the rain?

This is expensive but good.

Be sure to try it on in the store instead of ordering online because the sizing can be tricky.
It comes in a cinch sack. I keep mine in a saddlebag at all times just in case. Even though I temporarily quit riding, it's still in there in case the day comes when I can ride again.

[QUOTE=BrandonSmith;16024031]The first thing I noticed about the bike was the wind buffeting... Wow! My ears were ringing and my eyes were rattling around in my skull. With 75 mph speed limits here in rural Texas, the wind has to be managed.
I ride without a helmet. I do wear something on my head to prevent sunburn. Without the right windshield everything would blow off my head. Even my sunglasses would vibrate up and down to the point where I couldn't see well. The stock factory windshield had to go... With the right windshield I can wear a ball-cap turned backwards and it will stay put. I also wear ear plugs when riding highway speeds.
