not for me..it was love at first ride and after over 6000 miles which includes plenty of long distance high speed trips, that hasn't changed....all that was needed was the taller windscreen which anybody not named Mini-Me requires that

edit: here's a couple shots of what Harley has added on the RGs to address the issue, which I can attest to that works .. not sure what the SG has, but guessing maybe nothing in that area..both models have the little deflector wings outside the area

That's interesting must be something with the aerodynamics. Maybe they didn't spend enough time on the SG vs the RG lol. I know you guys love your RGs but I just can't get past the look of the front end. Just not my taste at all. Even with the potential wind issues I would choose that white SG all day long. I am glad you are happy with your ride though mj and that's all that matters.

being a lanky 6'3" I prefer the layout of the RG fairing...if I was under 6' I may have preferred the SG..that's why they make chocolate and vanilla, right!

I bet they come up with something for the SG like they used to, the 'ashtray' or 'dog dish' add on wind deflectors, or whatever they were nicknamed, that will satisfactorily remedy whatever ails them

It's funny how the RG owners prefer the RG and the SG owners prefer the SG. I wonder how that happens?

well, having owned both there is a clear advantage to the benefits the RGs have at wind management at interstate speeds .. perception is reality and it's not a placebo affect, for me anyway..that's my story and I've stuck with it!

Now you can move forward, focused on healing up rather than fixing the bike.

You’ll be back in the saddle again in no time.

Like you I've owned both and I prefer the SG. I guess that's why they make both.

I'm happy and sad for you Brandon but I know whatever bike you buy will be another great looking ride that you will make your own.
