Default '17 M8 Ultra Classic or Ultra Limited?

Leaning Ultra Classic, due to color and the fact you can dress her down by taking off both the tour pack & lowers to clean up the look.

However, I'd be giving up the water cooled heads. Is this thinking short sighted?

GPS is on the Limited and is not on the classic.

You can outfit the limited with the detachable hardware.

I find it strange that the white /teal is available on the classic but not the limited, when the bike's share the same bodywork.

The dealership should have a small catalog with the specs. I noticed the Limited is 14 lbs heavier and get about 2-3 MPG less than the Ultra Classic. Of the two 2017 Musclehead bikes I did a few hours on for video reviews, neither got that hot. So I would go with the Ultra Classic. Some dealers have Ultras with the upgraded stereo head unit in them.

I just picked up a '17 Ultra Limited on Saturday. I went with the limited for the larger infotainment screen, included security and I can't find it on the website, but the limited also has heated grips standard. I had the dealer put on detachable kit for the tour pak and a riders back rest before I picked the bike up. Hope this is some help.

I went with the Ultra Classic so I can remove the lowers in the summer, added heated grips and it came with the larger radio. I came off a '15 Limited and IMHO they do get warm in the summer with the lowers and the heat from the radiators.

I know it's a small thing, but I see that Harley really cheapened out on the 17 Ultra Classic by deleting the front fender tip light. Bad enough they removed the rear fender tip light on the UC and Limited for 2017, but that's getting ridiculous. At least they still left the front one on the Limited. Probably for the 2018 model year, they will drop that also.

Hmm, I'd never considered the heat coming off the radiators? Interesting.
