Cheapest way is to buy yourself some boots with 2" heels!

Some places that do seat mods will not be cheaper.
So if you go that way get a quote in writing.

I wanted a FLSTRXS. That's what I got, I'll make it work for me...
Thanks.

I may do that! It'll do wonders for my ego too!
Thanks...

Since these bikes come with the 1" lower than the normal shocks, lowering from there will absolutely kill any cornering clearance you have now.
I always recommend seat or shoe (sole and heel) over shorter shocks due to cornering ground clearance issues.
The very first thing I did when I got my 17RG home and installed a pair of 1" longer (RG Ultra) shocks on and improved the ride quality by 30-50%.

Did that raise your seat height an inch?

Hard to tell because I changed the seat to a CVO solo seat, which is lower than stock, at the same time.
I didn't notice that much change due to the 2 together.

Very simple. I had a set of Covington lowering blocks placed on the rear shocks. Lowered my bike a full inch. Blocks are about $100. Lowers the rear shocks back & down an inch.
