Thanks Guys

I just went in to look... I loved the pics online...

had to go see it in person.. they had just brought it from the Back up front before I got there.

They were adding the Daymaker and the Rineharts...

One look / and then they turned it on for me and I was all about it..

set on it to get the feel... I was sold..

If your interested in going to look I highly recommend you be prepared to make a purchase

Called Dealer they offered no discount on the parts.. kinda upsetting.

However I do have a $50 dollar gift card and 1,800 points with them worth 100 bucks I think.. so 150 dollars and a 10% gift card.. so maybe I can just purchase the 4 point system, sissy bar and back rest for the 450 they quoted me minus my gift $$ and the 10% discount.

Other route I found a Harley dealer online selling these same items for $382 shipped..

But I really need it for the wife this weekend so may just have to go in use my gift points and card to reduce the price and make the purchase tomorrow

That bike is a home run IMO. Great choice! You happened to jump on the Harley train at the best possible time with the M8 being your first experience to HD. Your going to love it? Enjoy

One arrived at the local dealer today, so I went to check it out. I'll admit, it's a damn good looking bike, but having just purchased the standard RK 6 weeks ago, it didn't incite enough emotion from me to take the disastrous hit I'd receive if I traded mine in. It would have been a no brainer if it were available when I purchased in January. I'll just pony up some dough to make mine its own version of a RK special. Front end is all I care to focus on. The saddle bags and rear fender don't concern me since it's behind my field of vision while riding.

Something I noticed, along with most everyone else who either test rode it or sat on it, is that the bars are a horrendously uncomfortable design. They're far too wide to have such a non-existing wrist angle. Most people change bars out anyway, but it's amazing that these passed muster to make it to a production unit.

My dealer discounts everything I buy from them. Not to mention a great discount on the bike.

Also remember cash is still king. If you use a debit or credit card to purchase parts and accessory's the retailer is always charged a service fee between 1 and 4% or better on the transaction. American Express and Discover are the worse concerning there transaction fee's. We won't take AX and D because of there insane fee's were I work.

One of the local dealers knows I purchased my bike else where because they would not discount the scooter. Found out the sales manager I was working with got fired. His MSRP + + + BS did not work out so well for them. So now they are offering me 10% on parts and acc. if I need them.... lolololol The RK I tried to buy from them is still setting on the showroom floor.

Enjoy your King S

Get the MoCo 4 point mounting bracket and sissy bar/pad. Get all that you can before 60 days or so and it will be covered under warranty.

Your local dealer can help you spent your hard earned money for free, or use online discount dealers.

Enjoy!

Welcome to the hood OP

Definatly use the factory mount hardware the aftermarket stuff I've seen wasn't as finished just looked out of place. Be a shame to ugly on that bike.

To give a shout out one of the other members in the forums here kicked me down a cherry factory adjustable mid sissy bar for my RK when I bought it. some good people in here.
