First of all, what are the actual stock numbers for the stock 107? I have read 100 and 111 as official torque numbers from Harley and 92.5 and 80 as hp numbers. Why a mystery if they want you to buy stage upgrade kits? You need to base it on something.
If you look at the Harley chart when looking at a Stage III kit they show stock torque as being around 100 @ 3500 rpm. And according to them, going to a stage III will get you to 114ish as noted on their chart!
And stock HP numbers for the 107 are, again according to HD's charts, 80hp @ 5k rpm.. so adding the stage III gets you to approx 110 or 111 hp at 6000rpm.
So are they saying a Stage III kit gets me to 111 hp and 114 lbs of torque? Mind you, this is after spending $1200 on stage I, another $1000 on Stage II, and another $2000 on Stage III. That's almost $5000 to get 111 & 114 respectively.
I'm actually OK with that but I'm now not so sure about Stage IV. That's another $3000 to $4000. (obviously I'm adding estimated labor costs, replacement oil, filters, etc)
What am I getting with the stage IV? What made you decide to get it?
questions, questions..
