I thought it was a problem with my bike so I brought it back to the dealer to be adjusted. They say this is normal and there is no adjustment. Being new to the Rushmore's this is very strange to me, but I would think more would be talking about this here. Any thoughts on the clutch ???

I too went from a cable clutch to this in my 17 Limited and hated it. Read the reviews on the reshaping of the clutch lever by softbrake and called him and placed my order. I had to send my lever to him and got it back. World of difference. Just like my 13 now. I'm happy now and enjoying the new clutch.

I'm betting if you just ride it for a couple thousand miles it'll feel normal again.

at first I wasn't too crazy about it but after 300 miles, and plenty of saddle time in traffic, I kind of got used to it. And I have arthritis. the friction zone is way out there but I haven't stalled yet. Looked into the softbrake levers but they mention the shorter reach will not allow you to start the bike in gear. Seems like you'll need more travel to get it started in first. That could be a problem if you stall and need to restart in an emergency. Looking for neutral in the middle of an intersection or on a hill when in a jam could be a problem. I'd rather just get used to it... or bend it a little myself. apply some heat and use a pipe to bend it back a bit.. but not enough to affect starting in first gear. Did that on my other bikes and worked like a charm.

about 850 miles on my 2017 CVO i don't notice the harder pull mentioned in this discussion ,but it did take 500 miles to get used to sharp right turns from stop uphill . all good now i don't mind the new clutch.

Yeah on the sharp right turns my reach isn't so long and neither are my fingers!!

Its just like the clutch on a metric now. I grew up on metrics so this is really nothing new to me at all.

You get used to it. When I read these comments it reminds me of the first time I rode one. I looked like a beginner. Almost fell over taking off as I was turning at the same time. I don't even think about it now.

Took a little bit but I'm getting to like it.

I've gotten used to not pulling the lever all the way into the bar. I squeeze it enough to disengage the clutch and find its a lot easier to hold it there at a light than pull it all the way into the bar and hold it there.

I'm new to Harleys but I thought this was good having the friction zone so far out. Made for quicker shifts imo.
