Got it.... I've been letting them breath to the ground with no problems

Same here. I have two hoses coming out of the back of the Ventilator which I route down and then back along the frame where I point them down just in front of the swingarm. No muss no fuss. I also keep my oil level at half a quart low according to the stick, hot.

same here except I tee the 2 hoses in the back of the ventilator back plate and run one hose down to the ground

I ran a line along the frame rail and to the ground.

I never understood the whole breather filter thing either. There are one way valves in the head breather, air only travels one way through the valves.....out. Just something else to get caked with crap.

Anyone know if this would work on an M8 Ventilator air cleaner?

Depends on what you mean by "this" biggins. If you scroll back through this thread you'll find 3 versions of what I did with my ventilator. The most recent is what I'm running with now. It's pictured in Post #580. No catch can, no fittings, just rubber fuel line running off the breather bolts out the back, down to the frame and then alongside the frame to the swingarm where I dumped them toward the ground. Prior to that I tried a couple of different versions with the catch can but didn't like either.

There's a bunch of examples and designs of Ventilator AC's being vented in this thread:

Default Head breather

I used stock tubes with a tee and a small filter. Just rerouted them.

Did a 10,000 mile service which included checking my home made catch can, the rolled up paper towel was saturated after a coupled hundred miles, I guess it’s that much less oil getting burned.

Default Trask checkM8

Just installed the Trask cover today, it’s really not a bad job as long as you have a mini ratchet, and I know I’m deluding myself but I swear it’s got a little more pep.
and I ran the filter down under my bike as well, wait and see if there’s any oil dripping but I don’t expect any when I pulled the transmission cover there wasn’t really any oil on it.
