When a tiny hose is left in a large throttlebody there is no suction going on. Proply rings seating.

I too would suggest drilling an additional hole and relocating the right side directly out and connecting the two behind the back plate. It would also remove the uphill tube.
I doubt you could measure any difference due to the screen, especially as the air has to also pass thru the filter.

It has to do more with turbulence, the flow should be smooth going into the throttlebody.

Hey Redro, sounds like you know your fluid dynamics. I hadn’t considered the turbulence aspect.

Do you have a bypass?

hmmm.... how would I go about a breather bypass on a Heavy breather? Would not be able to do the banjo type hose barb.

Default Nothing but water

After two rides on consecutive days this week I checked my catch can. It had about 2 tablespoons of very clear water in it, presumably condensation, with no hint of oily residue. Filters are clean also. So end result for me seems to be promising. Nothing going into the intake and no excessive dumping of anything including oily blowby coming out of the heads. If this keeps up I may do away with the catch can and route it straight to ground via a rubber hose.

I just installed the Heavy Breather and also want to do the install. I think the only way is to drill/tap the supports and install NPT fittings and hose to the ground, catch can or filter.

Finally got around to doing mine today. Used the OE tee fitting from the stock hoses and grabbed 7/32 hose from auto parts store. Drilled a hole in the backplate just big enough to slide the hose through and routed it down between the two forward pushrod tubes, behind the oil sender and zip tied to the frame. Can’t really see anything is different once the cover is back on.
