My plan is to run the
3/16 ID TUBING 3/16 ID TUBING
between the cylinders protected with a short piece of
THIS THIS
, then down at the transmission shifter to the frame rail.
I can attach the hose under the bike to either dump to ground or fasten and use one of
THESE THESE
small bottles.
On that side of the engine the small tubing is hardly noticeable. I don't even have the bottle yet to try so that picture is as far as I got. I used a 3/8 rubber grommet from Home Depot in one 7/16" hole that was slightly enlarged. With the hose installed onto the "T" fitting it is a nice tight fit into the grommet passing through the backing plate.

Thanks oldmike following ,as said neat option i'm just running tube to ground ,used golan before but pita when washing bike (gets filled though breather holes)
Do not think the heat shield would be needed, where your tee exits run tube down between pushrod tubes rear cyl then maybe a p clip off a case bolt to direct down if needed ?

I explored different routings. I think the primary side of the bike gets looked at less, also on the primary side of bike the hose seemed to "hide" better. Like I said, this is how far I got so there are many options once the hose exits the backing plate.
Stay tuned, we'll see how it turns out.

What did you use for the rubber fittings on the breather bolts?

If you're asking about my air cleaner, those fittings are stock with 3/16" ID hoses. I tried some different ones from Harley and Amazon that didn't reach deep enough to make a good seal, so just patched the stock ones in.

I ran the hose straight down from behind the AC back plate, decided to keep it simple like someone suggested. I found a spot to put one of the small 2oz. bottles under the trans cover. Burned a hole in the bottle for the hose leaving extra room for breathing. The bottle has a flip cap that screws on so can either squeeze oil out from the bottom, unscrew the cap to empty or it's easy enough to remove the bottle to empty. Can keep an eye on the level in the clear bottle. I don't expect much oil, I keep my dip stick level at 1/2.
Edit: If I keep the hose on the right side of the bike I can lower the point where it exits the backing plate so less up hill travel for the front breather hose.
