I found them at a local napa auto parts store. Vacuum line stuff I believe. The straight ones are 1/4" hose connectors. They fit tight enough I didn't need clamps.

For those that just run a hose to the ground, where are you securing the end of the drain hose? Towards the front or rear? Any issues with snot on the rear tire or the underside of the bike? What is the purpose of the filter that some put at the end of the drain hose?

It's like dirt on the bottom of a shoe... It'll get the bottom of the bike dirty. Oh, and somehow the chance of a drop every 100 miles getting on the rear tire will make it unsafe.

Will the rubber hose melt at all if it comes in contact with cooling fins or push rods? The hose type included in DK kits... planning on getting an EBS and routing the hose from the "T" threaded through the push rods to bottom of bike (most inconspicuous route)..

The hose that comes with the DK EBS Kits will not melt if in contact with the push rod tubes. Never seen it melt against the fins either. I suppose if the engine was running far too hot for it's own good, the hose may melt/deform if held tight against the fins.

The hose on my bike is routed right against the push rod tubes AND the engine block (below the oil filter) and has no issues at all.
