Anyone doing the breather bypass on your M8?

Pull the stock hoses off and throw away.
route to ground or install a catch can. Looking at the SE AC there will be some drilling the backing plate as they they reuse the same bolts as the stock air box. Also the air box is a lot closer the jug. There's not enough room do install like the twin cams, as there isn't enough room.
This is the way I did the by pass. Your plan my vary.

You did not misread that. you are correct in what you read, that it vents to the trans., but it does not mean everything you read is correct.

the fact that you don't need to do it. HAHAHA
I know when they did the tear down on mine for my 117" kit at 800 miles, the cylinder already showed signs of oil being introducing into the combustion chamber burnt into the top of the piston

I didn't read the same article so I can't say but in the M8 oil vapor from the breather on the top of each cylinder does indeed find its way into the air cleaner housing. Whether or not you feel the need to vent that to atmosphere, or catch can, or pavement is entirely up to you.

I read a couple of those articles that got it wrong, what I think they did was misunderstand that the Oil return from the heads travels through a passage in the trans case to get back to the oil pan.
I ran external on my Twincam, Witness what comes out of the breather hose, its mostly condensation [ water] and some snot. there is no way in hell you can dump that mix of oil and condensation into the transmission.
I ran external after installing a S&S tear drop on my twincam, that cleaner did a poor job of directing blowby into the module, it all ended up on the filter bottom and kept dripping, I had a routine of wiping it off with my finger every time I stopped and onto my pants leg. here is a pic of that breather.
I am not concerned with my M8, I dont think it hurts the engine at all. but if it drips, I will address it for that reason.
