Question Harley Road Glide Chizeled Handlebars?

First off I'm 6'3" with long legs. I'm getting a new M8 RGS and will need higher handlebars. Does anyone have any experience with the HD Chizeled bars? I'm thinking about having them order a black set of 14" to try out. I will also be using a TallBoy seat on this bike.

I see there is a little info on the inter-google about these bars. I haven't seen any negative reviews. With my long arms I should be able to have them rotated forward enough to maintain good height. And it's my understanding that the TallBoy seat doesn't move the rider up any, just back. So that should be good.

I've never seen a complaint. I was going to go with the but decided on the Malo Signature bars. In the spring that is. Good luck with the new bike.

And thank you for your service.

Buying handlebars is by far the most difficult part of customizing a bike. I just want something that looks great and is comfy on long rides.

I inquired about them and my dealer suggested that i go a different route. He said the wrist is in a weird bind with the down slope and pullback of them. I dont know as i never tried them but he suggested the factory 47 malo 14" so now i dont know to go with yaffe 12 or malo 14.....

That would be the first negative thing I've read or heard about them.

I test rode a 16 RGS with 14 in HD chiseled bars with the stock seat, and really liked them. At 6'2", they were the perfect height and wrist angle for me. Only reason I didn't buy the bike was due was due to rumors of the M8.

I have the Black 14" chiseled apes on my bike. 5'8" so I am not as tall as your self. The other day I was sitting on the bike thinking about the bars. The angle for the grips in my mind is perfect. I did a couple of tests. Arms at side and raise them up to handlebar height and didn't need to twist the hand to grab the bars. Very comfortable IMO. The answer for you is to sit on the bike hold your hands up to the height you want and see which is better, 16 or 14. I do feel you will like the bars
