Default I got a new canvas today

So there's a new dealership in Durham NC, no more Rommel. Its now called Raging Bull HD. I was there first customer. They had a couple of M8 Police bikes that were ordered wrong. I got a great deal so I'm now the proud owner of a police bike to do with as I please. Of course the Ole lady is pissed.....Why do I need two bikes and all.. Well it just so happens.....you can fill in the rest. Here she is

Very nice. Should be a lot of fun. Usually the police model has a motor upgrade of some sort. What does the M8 police model have? More cubes? Hotter cam? Different compression?

Congrats!

I owned an '08 Cop Glide for 5 years. I loved that bike. When I was done, it looked like a Street Glide with a couple red buttons on the handlebar being the only clue left to it's former life.

In those days the FLHTP came with a 103", while civilian models came with 96". When all touring models were shipped with 103" in 2012, I believe the Cop Glides shipped with the same motor. I don't think they've had special motors since then.

Nice! Not real sure why, but I like the police models. Enjoy, and hopefully your bride will forgive and forget.

Hopefully when my wounds heal I'll start up a new American Flag bike to replace the one the deer took a few years back. Something like this with a little more pop.

Why does the fuel tank look bigger than normal? Is it just an optical illusion due to no badging and the saddlebags and mid section filler panel being black?

I'm surprised that the Police model could be sold to the public already. I thought that the dealer had to hold it for sale to police departments for more than the 6 1/2 weeks that the 2017 bikes have been out. Best of luck with the new bike.

This ......... Same engine. Worse, a number of the TX departments have gone metric. FT Worth and Austin just to name two.
