What are you seeing for mileage?
My RK is averaging 43/44 for me, I may be hooning a bit since this bike is actually tossable which was a great surprise. Is there a rev range you find the bike is more comfortable at? I am still not sure where the big v twins should be kept before up or down shifting so I tend to go by sound

Completely non scientifically...
I haven't bothered to check exact milage versus gallons used in my M8. I can tell you that it is WAY better than my built 103. When I bought my stock 103 in 2011 it ran about 44-45 mpg. After a stage 1 and SE211 cams, dyno tune on the PCIII, it ran 38-39MPG. 40 if I was lucky. I rode it that way for 5 years. $hitty milage, great performance.
My stock M8 was getting 235-245 miles per 5 gallons when new. Since I added the heavy breather AC and the stage I tune the milage is about the same. This is combined city/highway. On the few highway only tanks I've done the milage is easily in the mid 50's MPG.
I have about 1400 miles on my M8.

3,800 miles on my RGS. It has had a high 56 and a low of 50. Average is at 52.
The low of 50 was at 65 mph across Iowa in a brutal head wind. The 56 was at 65 also and in Iowa on route 75 going south in a good tail wind.
The overall average is 52. I track my mpg on every bike at every fill up. I use it as a diagnostic tool. I do all that I can to improve each bike. Have done nothing to the M8 yet.
I have gotten all the TC's from 88's to 103 HO to 50 mpg with iridium plugs, oil cooler if not standard, a 3K slow run in after 12 heat cycles, high flow a/c, carbon cleaning every 3K, tank lift, stock exhaust, SE wires and E19 87 octane. The cooler the engine the stronger it runs and the longer it lasts.
The only TC's that I haven't reached 50 mpg is the 15 Freewheeler with a 120ST which turns in a 42 mpg and the 13 Street Bob with a 120R that has gotten to 47+ mpg.

I have over 1,200 miles on my 2017 SGS. Basically I have taken it easily, only getting some very limited spirited riding- my choice. I have averaged 49.8mpg. My best has been 52.8mpg , worst was 44.7. Have been over 50mpg several times. Pretty happy and it should improve as the miles pile up. My 2015 SGS with V&H X pipe, no cat, Rhinehart slip ons, hi flow a/c, and FP3 I would average 47-48mpg. and the 2017 stock would eat my 2015 for breakfast.
