M8 problems

Don't know for sure but it may be a loose connection.. One would expect that that a CAN bus error would occur but something might be happening that hangs up or confuses the right side switch processor. Maybe power to right side switch is not good.. Don't really know.. Just guessing. Maybe a not completely seated connector?

love my m8
just finished a 12000 mile service. performs very well as I feel the difference from the 2014 I had. riding two up, the boost in torque is welcome. a weekend in the GA, TN, SC, NC mountains left us both with big smiles that we made the right choice in sept 16 when I traded for the M8. I call in the muscle head!

love my m8 muscle head
that is actually funny! but you know its just my opinion. let me go on!
the motor is smoother and even cooler at idle. my wife says her foot on the ride side is much cooler that with the 09 or 14. says so by the previous bikes leaving a red ring around her ankle from heat. ride is much better, more compliant my wife says. says so by the shifting of weight on her back which was previously damaged due to auto accidents and other complications of life. getting though the twisters on the moon shiner or the tail could put her into pain if I make a mistake. The rear adjustable shocks make it easy to change settings between carrying luggage or just us through those turns. The front is beefier and has a more planted feel. the true test is a local road that makes a high speed but tight sweeper. the 09 would start to hobble and skip, the 14 was planted but a little bouncier until I tightened it up with #10 amsoil fork oil. But the 14, well that is so much smoother gliding through the sweeper. hitting the same turn right at a 100 my wife said she had no idea we were going that fast. what a blast!
have fun with whatever your ride is friends. its not important what it is as long as it is fun!

Even though many Twin Cam owners (like I was) have taken test rides on the new M8 bikes, I know for a fact a short 10-20 mile test ride usually isn't long enough to truly feel/realize the differences that the M8 bikes offer. For me it took over a 100 miles on various road surfaces and terrain to truly notice all the changes. Then, and as I still am, I'm truly happy with the M8.
