That is good news ...... Like I mentioned, the supply chain has finally loosened up. This past summer when I ordered the service manual for the M8 they wouldn't sell me the tool.
Servicing dealer told me they expect at least 75k out of the new plugs. As for the tool from Summit Racing, good question. I've not seen the new boot removal tool. I'll bet H-D's is an identical twin. You can bet it will carry the H-D tax. The bar and shield will be engraved on the handle .............

well MoCo says 30K or two years on plugs, so that's what I'll do unless they act up..don't want to really leave them in too long anyway and have them seize in the heads
indian + victory plugs change easily with 4 valves but only 2 plugs!! harley prolly using 4 to meet Euro4 requirements. on the oil line issues i thought i read they uprated the oil pumps, more pressure requires better fittings!!! cost is always a determining factor, but they will get it ironed sooner or later, meanwhile i will keep my older stuff!!

Why am I not surprised that a dealer would give me bad information. Worse part, it was the service dept that told me that.
MikeyTX just likes to complain and claim that they won't sell him the tool.
I'm not complaining. I could give a rats *** if they never sell me the tool. It wasn't for me. I was doing it as a favor for the indie that services my scoot.

yeah, that was bonehead advice from them..really, you can't go wrong following the manual, which most dealerships don't do..they have their own ideas (see also Kaching Kaching) of what your bike 'needs'..a lot of them replace all 3 fluids and spark plugs every 5K service..ridiculous..it'd be fine if the service was $150 instead of $400
