Yea Right! Who holds the land speed record in Sandy springs?
Just remember you're riding up with an old guy!
What time do you want to meet? It has been quite some time since I have been up around Barrett Pwy, so where would be a good place to meet?
How long do you think it will take us to get from Marietta to Cumming? If the wife comes we will have to drop her car off at the shopping center there at I-575 and Hwy20.

Don't even mind ridin behind a dipper as long as they can spit good enough to make it over the yellow line, oncoming cages with nice clean windshields and an un-attentive cell phone talker behind the wheel is usually a good target

All, I plugged this route into Mapsource and wanted to see what everybody thought.
WH starting point (of course), take SR 306 (road right by Chevron) back around to SR 9 which will skirt going back through Cumming. Take 9 all the way up to Dahlonega (know a shortcut around south side of Dawsonville). Stay on 9/19/60 up to Suches and then right on 180 and over to 129 at Vogle State Park. Turn left up towards Blairsville and then right on 180 and right on 348 (Richard Russell Pkwy) back down to Alt 75 turn right back to 129 and then left back down to Cleveland. Take 115 out of Cleveland and back over towards Dahlonega and end up at the intersection of 115/60 where 400 ends. I would probably split off here and take 60 from here as it is quickest way back to the house from that point. That would leave the rest with a quick shot back down 400 (or whichever route back to split points you like). Calculation says is is only a little over 100 miles and 2:48 in straight travel time but it will pretty much be all mountains and good riding. Of course with stops and lunch, etc. it will be much longer than that and a good loop.
Thoughts, input?
If anyone is interested I can post this route as a .gpx file that can be imported into your GPS.
